What does “OSB” mean?
OSB is the name of the band. That is all. It stands for nothing. (Or does it stand for everything?) If you think it must have some deeper meaning, we invite you create one and send it to us.
Is the band old or new?
Yes. It was founded in either 1998 or 2025.
What sort of music does OSB make?
We make the music we like. Our strongest influences come from various rock subgenres that are now considered “classic,” including prog rock, folk rock, Wagnerian, rock opera, soft rock, pop rock, and alternative.
After much consideration, we have decided to describe our music as “album-oriented post-pop progressive neo-restomod rock.”
Does OSB perform live?
No. We only perform dead.
What’s with the “AI” pictures?
The synthetic photos of the band are made with generative machine learning. They are based on real photos and detailed written prompts, then post-processed for consistency and to pixelate our faces.
The photos are both real and unreal, just like the rest of our digital lives. Technology can be both empowering and dehumanizing.
